Founding Systems Architect (Embedded + AI + IoT)

Location:

Delhi NCR preferred (Remote-first, but regular in-person reviews required)
Compensation: ₹1.25L/month fixed + ₹18L milestone bonus + ESOP

We are building a next-generation AI-enabled wearable device focused on safety, reliability, and independence.

We are looking for a hands-on Systems Architect who can:

Design and own embedded firmware architecture (Linux-based SoC platform)
Architect on-device AI + cloud-assisted intelligence hybrid system
Lead hardware-software integration
Build and guide a small in-house engineering team
Make platform decisions that scale to production

You will work directly with the founder and become the core technical pillar of the company.

What You’ll Be Building:

Always-on voice-first wearable system
On-device intelligence (offline-first architecture)
STT / TTS / panic detection / voiceprint logic
Secure OTA update framework
LTE / WiFi / BLE stack integration
Production-ready firmware architecture
Device-cloud communication backbone

What We’re Looking For

You should have:

7+ years experience in embedded systems
Strong Linux-based embedded development experience
Deep understanding of firmware architecture & hardware abstraction

Experience with audio pipelines (ALSA / DSP concepts)

Experience with OTA systems and secure boot chains
Ability to integrate third-party ML / STT / TTS engines
Strong debugging skills (power profiling, memory profiling, latency tuning)
Ability to mentor and lead junior engineers

Bonus:

Experience with i.MX 8M / Rockchip / Qualcomm Linux boards

Experience with edge AI deployment
Startup product build experience

Compensation Structure

Fixed Salary: ₹1.25L/month

Milestone Bonuses (₹18L total):
₹5L – Working Functional Prototype
₹5L – Production-Ready Firmware Stack
₹3L – First 500 Paid Units Sold
₹5L – Next 1000 Units Sold

ESOP: 0.5–1% (4-year vesting)

Compensation will be formally reviewed upon successful sale of first 1000 paid units, with intent to significantly increase fixed compensation aligned to product-market validation.

Working Model:
Remote-first
Delhi NCR preferred
Initial coworking setup
Eventually small hardware lab for testing

You will start as the primary architect and then help hire the next engineer(s).
