Position Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Trade Finance professional to serve as the functional anchor for our trade digitization initiative. As the Subject Matter Expert, you will leverage your deep operational expertise to redesign legacy workflows, ensuring our platform is compliant, efficient, and user-centric. You will act as the primary liaison between Trade Operations, Compliance, and our engineering teams to build a world-class digital trade ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Process Engineering:  Analyze end-to-end trade cycles (Import/Export LC, Collections, Guarantees, C and Open Account) to identify bottlenecks and design digitized "to-be" workflows.
Functional Design:  Translate complex trade regulations (UCP 600, ISP
98, URDG 758) and compliance requirements (AML/KYC, Sanctions screening) into functional specifications for the development team.
Implementation &

Collaboration:

Partner with Bank IT and external vendors to oversee the deployment of trade solutions, ensuring technical builds align with operational realities.
Stakeholder Management:  Conduct workshops with Trade Ops and Compliance personas to gather requirements and drive user adoption of new digital tools.
Risk & Compliance:  Ensure the digital solution adheres to ICC standards and regional regulatory guidelines, particularly focusing on red-flag indicators and fraud prevention.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT):  Define test scenarios and lead functional validation to ensure the solution is "bank-ready" before go-live.

Required

Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum  5 years of hands-on experience  in Trade Finance operations within a commercial bank.
Digital Proficiency:  Proven track record of working on  process improvement projects  or implementing trade finance software (e.g., Finastra, Misys, Surecomp, or proprietary bank portals).
Technical Liaison:  Experience collaborating with IT teams, understanding the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), and writing BRDs (Business Requirement Documents).
Regulatory Depth:  Comprehensive knowledge of ICC publications and international trade compliance standards.
Certification:
CDCS (Certified Documentary Credit Specialist)  is highly preferred. CSDG or CITF certifications are a plus.
Problem Solving:  Ability to simplify complex manual processes into intuitive digital experiences.
