Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to define and govern the strategic direction of infrastructure landscape across on-premises, networking, and multi-cloud environments (Azure and AWS). This role focuses on shaping future-state architectures, establishing standards, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise principles.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure and cloud strategy, combined with a strong understanding of modern networking and integration patterns. Success in this role requires the ability to develop roadmaps, enforce governance, and influence technology decisions that drive resilience, scalability, and operational excellence across the organisation.

You will collaborate with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure architectural coherence, optimise investments, and enable innovation through a holistic, enterprise-wide approach.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and architect end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions, integrating on-premises, cloud (Azure and AWS), and hybrid environments.
- Lead the development of infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures aligned with business and security requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of core infrastructure services: compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and identity management.
- Architect and optimise enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, and network security controls.
- Drive cloud adoption and migration initiatives, ensuring best practice in cloud architecture, automation, and cost management.
- Collaborate with security, application, and operations teams to ensure solutions are secure, compliant, and resilient.
- Evaluate and select infrastructure technologies, platforms, and vendors to meet evolving business needs.
- Lead infrastructure modernisation initiatives, including automation (IaC), containerisation, and integration with Dev Ops pipelines.
- Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and project teams.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in infrastructure and cloud architecture.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, solution designs, and integration models.
- Present infrastructure strategy, designs, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Experience, Skills &

Competencies:

- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in Infrastructure domain, Solution Architect, or similar role in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in designing and implementing on-premises infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualisation, backup, DR).
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), including architecture, migration, automation, and security.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, load balancing).
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools (e.g. Cloud native automation tooling, Ansible automation, Logic apps).

- Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid understanding of IT security principles, identity and access management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and incident response in hybrid environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work strategically while managing day-to-day execution and delivery.
- Experience in working with 3rd party technology partners is beneficial
