Job Purpose
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Freight Forwarding professional with a strong background in shipping and freight forwarding to lead and scale TCIL’s international logistics operations.
The role involves managing end-to-end freight operations, optimising logistics processes, building strong carrier partnerships, and leading the Profit & Loss for TCIL’s international business across India and global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize SEA / AIR / LAND EXIM port operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Shipping Lines, NVOCCs, and Airlines
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and documentation
- Lead carrier negotiations, contracts, and long-term partnerships
- Drive P&L ownership and contribute to product and business development
- Oversee cost analysis and margin optimization
- Handle system processes, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Manage and mentor teams across operations and customer handling
- Strengthen industry networking and customer relationships
- Represent TCIL in freight-forwarding associations and industry forums
Desired Profile
- Proven experience in Shipping & Freight Forwarding (International)
- Strong industry network across shipping lines, NVOCCs, and airlines
- Excellent people-management and leadership skills
- Sound understanding of global trade, logistics, and compliance
- International exposure with frequent travel experience
