Preconstruction Opportunity with an Award Winning Design‑Build General Contractor.

We are a Midwest commercial GC and construction management company with $200M+ in annual revenue, founded in the 1960s. Our team specializes in commercial, health‐care, higher‐education, mixed‑use, light industrial, and federal contracts.

Estimator (Construction). Salary: $90,000–$150,000 per year. Full‑time, loc:
Arlington Heights, IL.

• Prepare conceptual budget estimates from schematic design through construction documents.
• Evaluate and compile all budgets and bids, including conceptual estimating, hard bids, and negotiated bids.
• Source and build relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Communicate and present proposals to customers, architects, engineers, etc.
• Provide take‑off reviews and estimates from construction drawings.
• Solicit and review bids from the subcontractor market.
• Assist with subcontractor selection, buyout meetings, and subcontracts when needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Visit construction sites to obtain client requirement information.
• Evaluate proposals, specifications, blueprints, and construction documents.
• Coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors with the construction project manager.
• Estimate time, labor, materials, and product costs to determine overall project cost.
• Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers.
• Provide accurate and clear quantity takeoff information.
• Follow up with clients on submitted proposals and budgets.
