** Some key duties and responsibilities include:
*** Compute geodetic measurements and interpret survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features
* Perform complex surveys and complete projects as assigned
* Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title information as needed
* Follow accepted legal principals to compare and verify current measurements and resolve boundary disputes
* Prepare new parcel plats and legal descriptions
* Perform staking computations and create exhibits
* Supervise, participate in, and approve the reduction of survey field notes and calculations
* Assist in training junior staff members
* Other duties as assigned

** is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team!  We are currently seeking a Land Surveyor in our
** Gurnee, IL office**.  As a Land Surveyor you must be self-motivated and able to independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of surveying principles and practices in broad areas of assignments. Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.
* Demonstrated aptitude to understand calculations, alignments, and instructions for field work
* Must maintain thorough understanding of IMEG survey equipment, survey practices, and survey software programs including GPS surveying practices
* Effectively communicate with clients, officials, contractors, and others
* Self-motivated with good time management
* Travel may be required
** Education and experience requirements are:
*** Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Land Surveying, or minor in Land Surveying (preferred)
* Meet state specific licensure requirements for experience, education, and pass NCEES LS exam
* Min 4 years of PLS experience
* *** This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
*** Salary Range $77,000 - $112,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
