Job Description
We are seeking an entry‑level Packaging Engineer to join our team. This role is focused on the technical development of new or revised packaging materials for various brands. You will address packaging needs for new products and line extensions, as well as support cost‑saving and sustainability initiatives. Collaboration with procurement, operations, marketing, research and development, regulatory, and external suppliers is essential.
Responsibilities- Manage the technical development of new or revised packaging materials.
- Address packaging needs for new products and line extensions.
- Support cost‑saving and sustainability initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, marketing, research and development, regulatory, and external suppliers.
- Travel 15-20% to support packaging projects at manufacturing sites in Somers, WI;
Cartersville, GA; and Franklin, TN.
- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or other relevant engineering or technical disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, Materials).
- 0-2 years of experience in packaging development.
- Knowledge of packaging materials for liquid and powder applications.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 – $36.00 per hour.
