Accountable for the day-to-day operations of the commercial loan operations team, working closely with the Commercial Operations Manager to ensure efficient lending processes and develop a high‑performing team. This role supports department goals of member satisfaction and minimized operational losses while aligning with Credit Union strategic goals.

MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, monitor performance, coach, counsel, train, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee loan operations: gather documents, clear conditions, prepare closing documentation, booking, funding, maintenance, corrections, adjustments, track titles and insurance.
- Work with internal and external auditors on audits and reviews, preparing materials and following action items.
- Partner with Training Department to develop and update training materials.
- Ensure processes, procedures, and workflows meet business and regulatory requirements, recommend improvements, and evaluate production levels.
- Promote process improvement, solve problems, drive progress, and add financial value.
- Provide operational solutions to business challenges and act as subject matter expert.
- Manage daily operations, align procedures with expectations, collaborate with vendors to maintain services.
- Support department goals with minimal supervision, update manager on projects and progress.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including BSA, Patriot Act, OFAC, and internal policies.
5-8 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Education/Certifications/LicensesTwo-year college degree or equivalent business/trade school coursework (~64 credit hours).
Interpersonal SkillsHigh level of trust, credibility, diplomacy. Ability to handle sensitive discussions with customers, staff, and vendors.
Other Skills- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations affecting commercial loans.
- Knowledge of commercial loan policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Legal knowledge of commercial loan documentation and retention (preferred).
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel.
Primarily sedentary work, limited lifting up to 10 lbs, occasional stair climbing, routine office equipment use, extended hours as required.
Working ConditionsIndoor, climate‑controlled shared work area, moderate noise.
