CNC Lathe Set-up​/Operator 1st shift

Overview

CNC Lathe Setup / Operator – 1st Shift — Waukegan/Gurnee area. Monday–Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM (3-day weekends). Pay: $20–$35/hr (based on experience).

Join our team as a CNC Lathe Setup & Operator and take pride in producing high‑quality precision parts. You’ll set up and run CNC lathes, ensuring every part meets blueprint specifications and customer expectations.

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes, run Mills and Swiss Turning Centers
• Read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, programs, and routers
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Maintain quality assurance records and meet engineering specifications
• Keep equipment running efficiently and support continuous improvement
• Report daily production in ERP system

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5–10 years’ experience setting up/programming CNC Lathe machines
• 3–5 years’ experience in machining
• Skilled with micrometers, calipers, and blueprint interpretation

• Swiss, Haas or Tsugami machine experience
