Summary
Manually inspects completed plastic parts and packs them into boxes for shipping. Seals boxes, prints labels and stacks full boxes on pallets. Operates machines and may train Operator
1. Operates in a safe manner and keeps work area clean and organized.
- Inspects products frequently for defects such as discoloration, shorts, burns, contamination sinks, splay, and delamination.
- Records data on product and performance as required by management.
- Prepares and packs products into shipping containers, transports them to the shipping area, weighs and labels using SAP, supplies boxes to molding presses, and stacks finished products on pallets.
- Maintains a clean production and packing area by sweeping floors, picking up molded parts, removing dust, grease, and oil, and cleaning spills and leaks.
- Operates manually operated molding presses to remove molded product, pack in bags, boxes or trays, and insert inserts into molds.
- May train Operator 1 employees.
- Sorts and reworks products that do not meet customer requirements, documents and labels their status, and samples and gauges rejected product.
- Fosters teamwork by developing and maintaining good working relationships with all departments.
- Completes all required training assignments.
- Conducts all job functions in a safe manner, complying with state and federal safety and environmental regulations, and uses appropriate safety equipment.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
$16.15 – $29.09 per hour
