Welding Lead – 1st Shift (5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Thursday)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welding Lead to join our 1st shift team. This role is responsible for reading blueprints, taking precise measurements, planning layouts, and overseeing welding procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and hands‑on welding experience, ensuring that all work meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements and workflow.
- Select and set up appropriate welding equipment and materials based on project needs.
- Assign daily tasks to department employees and ensure timely completion.
- Train team members on proper welding techniques, safety practices, and quality standards.
- Verify that all products meet customer specifications.
- Monitor production data to ensure accurate reporting of run rates and quantities in the ERP system.
- Manage department supplies and materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Foster teamwork, respect, and a positive work culture through strong leadership and example.
- Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience with multiple welding techniques or completion of a 4‑year accredited welding program.
- Strong knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
- Understanding of non‑destructive inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret standard weld symbols.
- Ability to read and interpret standard weld symbols.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Supervisor or Lead experience
Preferred:
Metal fabrication experience.Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Compensation & Benefits- Pay Range: $26 – $34 per hour, based on experience.
