School Social Worker

Job type: 12 weeks contract with possible duration.

Shift: Day (5x7.5 Hours) 8:00am to 4:00pm

Pay Rate: $45/hr

This is an on-site contract role located in Gurnee, IL, for a School Social Worker. The School Social Worker will provide support to students, families, and staff by addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized support plans, providing crisis intervention, collaborating with teachers and administrators to address student needs, and offering resources for families. The Social Worker will also facilitate group and individual counseling sessions and assist in improving the overall school environment by fostering a supportive community.

• Strong skills in counseling, crisis intervention, and facilitation of group and individual support sessions
• Proficiency in case management, assessment, and developing individualized plans
• Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with school systems, regulations, and resources
• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• State certification or licensure as a School Social Worker in Illinois required
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in an educational setting is highly preferred
