About the Role
The Student Counsellor at Pragyanam School will play a key role in supporting  students' social, emotional, academic, and career development . The counsellor will create a safe, supportive environment where students can seek guidance, receive counselling, and be empowered to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

- You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing support and guidance to clients.
Conduct assessments to identify client issues and develop treatment plans
Provide individual and group counselling sessions to address students' emotional and social needs, ensuring a safe space for expression.
Develop and implement programs that promote mental health awareness and resilience among students, aligning with the school's mission.
Collaborate with educators to identify students in need of support and create tailored intervention plans that enhance their learning experience.
Conduct assessments to evaluate students' needs and progress, using data to inform counselling strategies and interventions.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions, interventions, and student progress. Ensure compliance with school policies on confidentiality and data protection.
Develop and implement a counselling program calendar for the school year — planning workshops, awareness campaigns, group sessions, and preventive initiatives related to student well-being.

Qualification and

Skills:

- · Master's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Child Development, or a relevant field.

· Prior experience (preferably 2–3 years) as a counsellor in a school or educational setting — an advantage if familiar with school-age developmental issues.

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and active-listening skills. Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.

· Awareness of child-protection policies, mental health issues, and contemporary counselling practices is preferred.
