We are looking for a proactive and technically driven System Administrator to support and manage our growing IT infrastructure in a fast-paced startup environment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a System Administrator with hands-on experience in IT support, infrastructure management, and system troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing day-to-day IT operations, supporting internal teams, configuring systems, and maintaining secure and reliable environments. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving technical problems, working across systems and networks, and learning modern infrastructure tools such as Docker, virtualization, and Linux administration.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot hardware, software, system, and network-related issues
Configure and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals
Install, update, and manage Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems
Manage employee onboarding, offboarding including system setup, email creation, and access provisioning
Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
Handle IT inventory management and asset tracking
Monitor and maintain internal systems, internet connectivity, and networking devices
Support VM setup, virtualization environments, and basic infrastructure maintenance
Work with Docker, containerized environments for deployment and system support
Maintain data backups and ensure adherence to security best practices
Assist in implementing compliance-aware IT practices, including HIPAA-sensitive data handling
Provide day-to-day technical support to internal teams and ensure minimal downtime

Skills & Qualifications

Experience & Education

1–2 years of experience in System Administration, IT Support
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field

Core Technical Skills

Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
Good understanding of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments
Hands-on experience with system setup, configuration, and maintenance
Familiarity with Google Workspace, Outlook, and email administration
Understanding of user management, permissions, and access control

Infrastructure & Networking Skills

Good understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP, IP, DNS, ports, VPNs, LAN, Wi-Fi, and firewall rules

Experience with VM configuration and virtualization concepts
Basic Linux administration and command-line operations
Knowledge of Docker and containerization concepts
Understanding of backup, endpoint security, and system monitoring practices

Nice to Have

Exposure to cloud platforms or admin consoles
Familiarity with IT ticketing, helpdesk tools
Awareness of HIPAA, compliance-oriented system handling
Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment
