The Analyst will work closely with business stakeholders to understand and translate their requirements into scalable and efficient data and analytics solutions. The role includes ensuring optimal system design, performance optimization, and compliance with data privacy and security regulations. The consultant will leverage project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile to deliver high-quality solutions, provide user training, and collaborate across various business units to meet organizational goals.
The role also involves managing stakeholder expectations and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement in data and analytics processes.
Responsibilities
• Business Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document data and analytics requirements that align with business objectives.
• System Design & Development:
Ensure proper design and implementation of data and analytics systems, delivering scalable and efficient solutions that meet business needs.
• Performance Optimization:
Identify opportunities for performance improvement in data systems and implement necessary enhancements.
• Data Privacy & Compliance:
Ensure the implementation of access controls, encryption mechanisms, and data governance policies to comply with data privacy and security regulations.
• Project Management:
Apply project management principles, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies, to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
• User Training & Support:
Prepare and conduct training sessions for system users to ensure they are well-equipped to use data and analytics tools effectively.
• Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with multiple business units and manage relationships with key stakeholders to align data solutions with their goals and expectations.
• Continuous Improvement:
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance data and analytics processes and systems, driving innovation and efficiency within the organization.
Technical Competencies
• Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).
• Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, No
SQL) and data warehousing solutions.
• Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree:
Preferably in Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
Certifications
o Certifications in data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) are highly desirable.
o Data governance certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) and project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum) are advantageous.
Experience
• 10 - 12 years of experience in data and analytics, with a strong focus on system design, implementation, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience in delivering data and analytics projects using both Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
• Experience in managing relationships with key stakeholders and working across multiple business units.
