You will also provide critical governance and oversight for our Managed Service Providers. You will ensure that our external partners deliver automation that meets our standards for performance along with security, and global compliance across 6 regions comprising 40+ countries.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with various Tower leads to create a tactical and strategic roadmap for on-prem and cloud services for automation.
Eliminate manual toil by implementing automation for service tickets, incidents, workflows and provide self-service.
Architect and design workflows the integrates users, Global Service Desk (GSD) and infrastructure layers to enable One-Click or Zero-Touch provisioning.
Build a robust service catalog that allows business units to consume IT services without manual MSP intervention.
Architect end-to-end self-service workflows that trigger automated environment provisioning, OS/Middleware configuration, and seamless application deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
Act as the technical authority overseeing MSP activities, ensuring their automation deliverables align with our internal roadmap
Define and monitor automation-driven KPIs (e.g., % of automated deployments, automated patch success rates)
Enforce the use of our primary toolsets (Datadog, Ivanti, Power Shell/Python runbooks, Bicep/ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible) across all work streams to prevent
Facilitate a cultural shift toward an Automation First mindset.
Partner with Security and Compliance teams to automate governance into every workflow
Required Qualifications:
14-18 years in IT Infrastructure, with at least 8 years focused on IT Infrastructure automation. Deep expertise and integration knowledge in on-prem, cloud Infrastructure, Service Desk technologies and automation tools
Strong experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. Proficiency in scripting and programming (Power Shell, Python, or Go)
Proven track record of managing large-scale, distributed IT environments
Proven track record of automating the entire lifecycle: GSD/ITSM integration → Infrastructure (IaC) → Application Deployment.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure
Strong leadership skills to influence stakeholders across multiple organizational silos
Preferred
Skills:
Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
Experience with IT Infrastructure automation tools on-prem and on Azure Cloud
Knowledge of hybrid connectivity (Express Route, VPN, SD-WAN) automation, IAM, EntraID, Application deployment
