ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade network and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across firewall platforms (Check Point, Palo Alto, Forti Gate), routing & switching technologies, cloud networking (Azure), and modern WAN solutions including SD-WAN. This role demands a proactive professional capable of owning incident resolution, driving RCAs, and ensuring the highest levels of network availability and security posture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Firewall & Security Management
Design, configure, and manage enterprise firewalls on Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, and Forti Gate platforms.
Define and enforce firewall policies, security zones, NAT rules, and access control lists (ACLs).
Monitor firewall health, logs, and traffic patterns to proactively identify and mitigate threats.
Conduct regular firewall rule reviews, audits, and clean-up activities.
Routing & Switching
Configure and manage Cisco Routing & Switching and Dell Switching infrastructure.
Deploy and manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and static routing in enterprise and service provider environments.
Administer Cisco Meraki SD-WAN and wireless solutions across multi-site environments.
WAN, LAN & Connectivity
Design, manage, and optimize LAN/WAN infrastructure across head office, branches, and data centers.
Implement and manage VPN solutions including Site-to-Site IPSec VPN and Remote Access VPN.
Configure and maintain SD-WAN overlays, policies, and failover mechanisms.
Manage Wi-Fi infrastructure, SSID design, RF planning, and wireless security policies.
Cloud Networking
Architect and manage Azure Networking components including Virtual Networks (VNets), NSGs, Azure Firewall, Express Route, VPN Gateway, and Peering.
Integrate on-premises network infrastructure with Azure cloud environments in hybrid topologies.
Implement and manage Azure network monitoring, diagnostics, and traffic analytics.
Incident & Problem Management
Lead Major Incident Management for network and security-related outages; drive bridge calls and coordinate resolution.
Prepare detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports post-incident with actionable remediation steps.
Own and resolve L3 network escalations within defined SLA timelines.
Perform proactive network health checks and capacity reviews to prevent recurring incidents.
Documentation & Governance
Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, topology diagrams, and runbooks.
Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, change management processes, and IT governance frameworks.
Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) for all network and security changes.

QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
8–10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and security operations.
Preferred Certifications (one or more):
CCNP / CCIE (Routing & Switching or Security)
Palo Alto PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer)
Check Point CCSE / CCSA
Fortinet NSE 4 / NSE 7
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
Cisco Meraki CMNA
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex network issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication for incident updates, RCA documentation, and stakeholder briefings.
Ability to work under pressure in high-availability environments and manage multiple priorities.
Experience working in ITIL-based environments with familiarity with Change, Incident, and Problem Management.
Self-motivated team player with the ability to mentor junior network engineers.
