What you can expect
Roles & Responsibilities :
Key Account Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for major FTL clients across verticals like Chemicals, Agro Chemical, Automotive, Solar, Pharma, and Industrial Goods.
Ensure high service levels, timely execution, and quick resolution of client concerns or escalations.
Conduct regular business reviews with clients and suggest operational or service improvements.
Account Growth & Retention
Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts (cross-sell and up-sell) & work closely with different BU's (ILS approach).
Drive account profitability through strategic engagement and effective contract management.
Monitor credit performance and ensure timely collections in coordination with finance.
Operations & Execution Coordination
Work closely with dispatch, fleet, and control tower teams to ensure committed service delivery (transit time, TAT, POD compliance, etc.).
Track shipments and proactively manage exceptions or disruptions in coordination with operations teams.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
Track key KPIs for each account: OTIF (on-time in full), damages, transit delays, vehicle placement, and route optimization.
Provide regular MIS/reports to clients and internal leadership on service levels and account performance.
Client Onboarding & Implementation
Manage onboarding of new clients including SOP design, route planning, lane pricing, and operational handshakes.
Support commercial negotiations during contract renewals or rate discussions.
What you bring
Experience:
7+ years in Road Freight with strong experience managing key FTL clients.
Domain Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the Indian FTL ecosystem (market rates, lanes, seasonal demand)
Exposure to contractual transportation and fleet planning
Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, control towers, and route optimization tools
Skills:
Strong client handling and negotiation skills
Analytical with data-driven decision-making abilities
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools
Excellent verbal and written communication
Travel: Willingness to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and reviews.
