Role Description
The Plant Head  provides end-to-end operational leadership for our Gurgaon manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for orchestrating production planning, resource optimization, and daily execution across multi-line manufacturing setups to meet the stringent quality, performance, and delivery timelines. The ideal candidate balances hands-on shop-floor management with robust financial discipline, cost-saving oversight, and strategic cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production Management
Daily Execution:  Direct day-to-day plant operations, ensuring production timelines align perfectly with customer order books, and delivery schedules.
Capacity & Scheduling:  Lead production planning, capacity forecasting, and resource allocation across multi-line setups to maximize throughput and machine utilization.
Cross-Functional Alignment:  Coordinate seamlessly with maintenance, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to streamline supply chain and production workflows.
Cost Control & Financial Performance
Budget Oversight:  Manage plant operational budgets, track manufacturing costs, and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) to maintain healthy margins.
Process Optimization:  Identify structural waste, optimize floor workflows, and implement lean manufacturing practices to drive cost-saving initiatives.
Quality, Maintenance & Safety
Brand Compliance:  Enforce rigorous quality control systems to ensure finished products strictly meet international sportswear brand specifications, tensile strengths, and compliance standards.
Preventive Maintenance:  Oversee equipment upkeep programs to maximize machinery uptime and ensure high-speed production line reliability.
EHS Compliance:  Cultivate a rigorous safety culture, ensuring total compliance with environmental, occupational health, and workplace safety regulations.
Leadership & Strategic Reporting
Team Development:  Mentor and manage production supervisors and line teams, establishing clear KPIs, accountability, and strong workplace communication.
Executive

Collaboration:

Partner with senior management on long-term capacity planning, facility expansion, and strategic capital expenditure (Cap Ex) initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Textile Technology, Footwears  Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience Profile:  Proven leadership experience in plant operations or production management, ideally catering to high-velocity consumer apparel or sportswear brands.
Industry Domain:  Direct experience in  footwear components, textiles, narrow fabrics, laces, braiding, or webbing manufacturing  is highly preferred.
Technical &

Core Competencies:

Expertise in multi-line production scheduling, material tracking, and resource capacity planning.
Hands-on familiarity with modern quality systems, tensile testing, and material standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Proficiency with ERP/MRP environments for data extraction, inventory management, and operational reporting.
Leadership Capabilities:
Strong team leadership, conflict resolution, and change-management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and executive reporting capabilities.
