The Role
The Associate – Retail Planner will be responsible for ensuring optimal product availability across stores through effective inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment strategies. The role focuses on analyzing sales trends, forecasting demand, and supporting category and assortment planning to drive overall retail performance.
The position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to work in a fast-paced retail environment with cross-functional coordination across merchandising, supply chain, and retail teams.
Key Responsibilities /What You Will Do
Manage store-level and size-wise inventory planning, allocation, and replenishment to ensure optimal stock availability across stores
Analyze sales trends, demand patterns, and store performance to support planning and decision-making
Monitor inventory levels to minimize stock-outs, overstock, and slow-moving inventory
Support category and assortment planning based on seasonality, sales performance, and business objectives
Assist in planning and execution of new product launches, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
Collaborate with Buying, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Store teams for timely stock movement and execution
Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and inventory trackers using MS Excel and other reporting tools
Track key retail KPIs including sell-through, stock cover, fill rates, and inventory turns
Qualifications & Skills /What You Need
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Management, Retail, Business, PGDM/MBA, or a related field.
2- 4 years of experience in retail merchandising, planning, allocation, or inventory management.
Strong understanding of fashion and lifestyle retail dynamics.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic forecasting techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Ability to react quickly and effectively to changing trends and business requirements.
Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
Familiarity with retail planning tools and ERP systems will be an added advantage.
