A Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Responsibilities include monitoring maternal and fetal vital signs, administering medications, performing phlebotomy and IV procedures, and offering education and support to new families. This role involves traveling to various healthcare facilities across the United States under a travel nursing agency contract.

Responsibilities
Labor and Delivery RNs (L&D RNs) are responsible for monitoring patients throughout labor and serve as the primary point of contact for family members. L&D RNs monitor the baby’s heart rate and provide immediate care to the newborn. L&D RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform knowledge of phlebotomy, basic IV, and central lines
• Assess and record maternal vital signs throughout labor and post-partum stages
• Administer pain medication and other medicines as ordered
• Educate and support new mothers and families on infant care
Shift: 3x12 Days
