Deputy - Community Services Division

The Community Services Division provides dedicated law enforcement and security services to community partners, public facilities, andcounty government buildings throughout Logan County. Deputies assigned to this division may serve as School Resource Deputies (SRDs) in local schools, wherethey help ensure a safe learning environment and build positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Other deputies may be assigned to county government facilities, where they provide security for visitors, employees,elected officials, and public meetings while maintaining a safe and professional environment.

• Mustbe at least 21 years of age.
• Possessa high school diploma or GED.
• Mustnot have any felony convictions, serious misdemeanor convictions, domesticviolence convictions, or pending criminal charges in any state.
• Ability and willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
• Successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
• Pass initial and continued random drug screenings.
• Minimumof five (5) years of law enforcement experience.
• Must possess current CLEET certification. Non-certified applicants will not be considered.

• Reportto assigned duty location on time and prepared for duty.
• Provide law enforcement and security services at county government buildings,schools, and other assigned facilities.
• Conduct routine security inspections of assigned facilities and surrounding grounds.
• Respondto calls for service, disturbances, emergencies, and safety concerns within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Maintaina safe and secure environment for county employees, visitors, students,staff, and the public.
• Complete reports, records, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with security operations during public meetings, county functions, and special events.
• Participate in community outreach programs and public engagement activities.
• Foster positive relationships with students, educators, county employees,community members, and partner agencies.
• Maintain all required certifications, training requirements, and assigned equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Starting Salary: $3,125 per month
