MANAGER, OPERATIONS BUSINESS ANALYTICS

OverviewAt Hackensack Meridian Health we help our patients live better, healthier lives and support each other. The Manager of Operations Business Analytics reports to the SVP and COO and provides leadership, expertise, and operational efficiencies for the division of operations through data-driven strategies.
Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance HMH/HUMC's mission, vision, and values.
- Develop an operational plan to achieve administrative, operational, and business objectives in line with HUMC’s objectives.
- Manage and optimize key operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity of the Division.
- Oversee business function metrics and make evidence-based decisions after evaluating effectiveness of action plans.
- Prepare and present monthly operational analytics reports for senior leadership.
- Manage the Administrative Residency Program for the Division of Operations (MHA fellowship).
- Assist the COO in preparing annual operating budgets, capital business plans, P&Ls, and new program plans.
- Prepare and analyze monthly budget expense variance reports for the division of operations.
- Develop and update organizational design to maximize productivity, maintain quality, and control costs using data-driven insights.
- Lead collaborative opportunities within the division and identify opportunities for continuous improvement or new program development.
- Develop and maintain dashboards of key performance metrics for monthly financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Create and evaluate volume referral reports for outpatient services along with departmental productivity.
- Oversee strategic projects in partnership with Operational Directors to ensure successful implementation.
- Utilize data management tools and techniques for gathering and reporting data.
- Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to operational throughput and proactively design/implement solutions.
- Develop collaborative working relationships with peers, system leaders, physicians, and other colleagues throughout Hackensack
UMC. - Undertake special projects as requested by the COO.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
Required
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive project management and leadership oversight experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executives.
- Able to focus on long-term goals while managing day-to-day operations.
- Ability to exercise initiative, creativity, and courage.
- Confident in interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of information technology and management information systems.
- Proficiency in Google Suite tools and analytics platforms Power
BI, Visio, Tableau, WAVE, and others. - Highly proficient in creating dashboards and custom reports with knowledge of visual techniques for data analysis and presentation.
- High energy, strategic thinker with a track record of executing with strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Skills and Abilities
Preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work comfortably in fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead process innovation.
- In-depth knowledge of finance and business development preferred.
- Familiar with a metrics-based approach to management incorporating communication of expectations, monitoring, and discussion of results.
