Collaboration Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ) is seeking a full‑time Peer Recovery Specialist to work closely with the Center Manager, Wellness Mentors, and community members to plan and implement Wellness Center operations and build partnerships that meet the needs of the community.

Highlights
  • Act as a role model/mentor to empower individuals to self‑advocate and coordinate their own services.
  • Assist members in identifying personal goals for recovery using one‑to‑one and group meetings.
  • Offer referrals to members regarding wellness, recovery, peer support, and community services.
  • Assist in developing and expanding services within the community.
Requirements
  • MUST have Peer Certification.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system and community resources.
  • Ability to make and maintain contacts and positive relationships with individuals who have received mental health and/or substance abuse services.
  • Willingness to disclose current or prior use of mental health and/or addiction services and speak openly about personal recovery.
  • Ability to work with individuals with mental illness in a caring and professional manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • MUST have a valid NJ Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Lived experience: CSPNJ prioritizes hiring individuals who use their own life experience dealing with mental health/substance‑use issues to inspire and support others.
Benefits
  • Full‑time, 40 hours per week.

Hourly Rate: $21.63.
