DescriptionThe Pediatric Psychologist provides clinical services to clients which may include assessment, treatment planning, case management, individual, group and family therapy, and case disposition as part of a clinical team. Participates in the training and clinical supervision of psychology interns.
Responsibilities- Maintains awareness of the sources of reimbursements for the service and follows through to ensure all requirements are met.
- Accurately and timely assesses readiness for discharge or transfer. Utilizes SBAR when appropriate.
- Provides clinically competent case management services to clients as needed.
- Promotes a positive client experience, participates in service recovery and encourages clients' feedback.
- Provides clinical supervision to psychology interns and others as assigned.
- Discharge transfer plan, collateral contacts, initial assessment, progress notes, treatment plan, treatment plan review, weekly summaries are completed accurately and timely per program policies and procedures.
- Initial assessments are comprehensive and demonstrate clinical competence.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of performance improvement activities and actively participates in the Process.
- Provides services equal to 65% of hours worked.
- Participates in supervision as needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of issues in the field; shares information from conferences, articles, and training.
- Demonstrates clinical competency in group, individual, and family treatments.
- Completes psychological assessments and consults timely and demonstrates competence.
- Assists in coordination of internship programs to maintain APA accreditation standards.
- Treatment plan is measurable, individualized, and incorporates client involvement.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
Skills and Abilities
Required
- Earned Doctorate in Psychology, internship in clinical child, school psychology, adult clinical and/or pediatric psychology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Skills and Abilities
Preferred
- Post-doctoral training and/or experience in child maltreatment or forensic psychology.
- Psychologist License or Practicing Psychologist License.

The starting rate of pay is for informational purposes only and may differ based on market data, experience, education, skills, location, internal equity, and budget.
Minimum rate of $ annually. Additional performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions may apply. Eligible for shift differentials for evening, night, or weekend shifts. Full‑time and part‑time (20+ hours/week) positions offer comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
