Sr. Biller - Full-Time role at Holy Name Medical Center

Holy Name is a mission-driven facility with a history of nearly 100 years, focused on care for body, mind, and soul. This role is responsible for billing and resolution of claims, as well as analysis and reporting on outstanding receivables for multiple and/or complex programs.

• Reviews patient accounts for accuracy and completeness of charges, insurance, UB04, and billing information.
• Submits claims via the appropriate mode of submission (electronic or hard copy).
• Monitors and completes all outstanding claims on assigned disposition lists.
• Manages complex and large-dollar accounts requiring a high level of expertise.
• Assists in training of new staff.
• Coordinates workflow of department with Supervisor and staff as needed.
• Researches and monitors accounts receivable (A/R).
• Researches patterns on denied claims.
• Works directly with staff to ensure timely follow-up and achievement of goals.
• Multitasks between different projects throughout the day per supervisor’s needs.
• Answers biller questions as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• 4-6 years of collection/billing experience required (3-5 years acceptable per context).

• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance and medical billing including CPT, ICD-10, and ERA 835.
• Strong communication, problem solving and research skills.
• Working knowledge of Excel and related tools.

• CPB - Certified Medical Biller Hospital/Biller Certification Upon Hire Required.
• AAHAM or HFMA certification Upon Hire Preferred.

Pay Range: $23.00/hour - $28.00/hour. Full-time and part-time employees have access to a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and free on-site parking.
