- Identify potential participants, schedule screening and enrollment, obtain consent, administer measurement protocols, and complete activities related to ensuring participant retention, with oversight.
- Assist with administrative aspects of coordinating activities with other funded sites.
- Monitor well‑being of research participants through measures and interactions, notifying study staff of participants who appear impaired or distressed so proper steps can be taken.
- Assist with entering and managing data, performing routine data quality assurance procedures, and helping resolve discrepancies, with oversight.
- Perform background research for manuscripts, publications, and research projects.
- Maintain bibliographies and a database of important articles and manuscripts.
- Assist in preparing and organizing study records, scheduling meetings, and preparing and distributing meeting minutes.
- Assist with payment, tracking, and documentation of patient study incentives.
- Assist with IRB approvals and paperwork.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience plus High School diploma, GED, or other credentials.
- Experience with human subjects research.
- Ability to make good administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Ability to work independently to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of research methods and topical content of assigned study.
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with persons ranging from leaders of national organizations to senior faculty, fellow RAs and patients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Minimum rate of $21.40 hourly. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate of pay in this job posting is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act and does not reflect the full value of our market‑competitive total rewards package.
Job DutiesCompensation information may vary based on several factors including market data, experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, budget and grant funding. Performance‑based incentives, bonuses, commissions and shift differentials may also be applicable.
