Job Summary

As a Bilingual Behavioral Technician, you will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in‑home, in‑community, and in‑center
. Providers typically work 5–20 hours per week
, with 2–4 hour shifts primarily scheduled in the evenings. Services are hands‑off
, emotionally supportive, and designed to promote client alertness, engagement, and emotional well‑being.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide non‑physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families
  • Ensure the safety and well‑being of the client
  • Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan
  • Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns
  • Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines
  • Respond to crises using de‑escalation and safety strategies
  • Engage clients in interest‑based activities to support growth and awareness
  • Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings
  • Follow all agency protocols, procedures, and professional guidelines
Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available)
  • High School Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field is preferred but not required; candidates who have completed their degree are strongly encouraged to apply
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably children
  • Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Must be working towards receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks
  • Bilingual (Spanish‑speaking) candidates are encouraged to apply

Sign‑On Bonus

We are excited to offer a $300 sign‑on bonus to new Bilingual Behavioral Technicians who join our team in Bergen County.

Bonus Structure
  • $150 issued after 45 days of active case assignment
  • $150 issued after an additional 60 days
  • Must meet all eligibility criteria throughout the bonus period
Eligibility Criteria
  • Complete all onboarding and orientation requirements
  • Maintain a minimum weekly caseload of 2–3 assigned clients
  • Stay actively engaged and attend all scheduled sessions
  • Remain in good standing throughout the bonus period
Definition of Good Standing
  • Consistently meet performance expectations and documentation deadlines
  • Have no active Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) or disciplinary actions
  • Maintain effective communication with supervisors and families
  • Comply with all attendance policies and case responsibilities
