We're on the lookout for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our team at our Hackensack, New Jersey office with the opportunity to work hybrid, offering the perfect balance of remote flexibility and in-office collaboration!

What You'll Do
  • New Hire Onboarding & Offboarding:
    • Coordinate and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring proper orientation and integration into the company culture
    • Manage offboarding processes, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws
    • Maintain documentation and records for all onboarding and offboarding activities
    • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of HRIS and other HR tools
  • New Partner Integrations:
    • Facilitate HR processes during the integration of new practices into the organization, ensuring alignment with corporate policies
    • Conduct due diligence and provide HR support during mergers or acquisitions
    • Train new partners and employees on HR policies, systems, and tools
  • Employee Relations:
    • Serve as the first point of contact for leaders and employees on policy interpretation, employee relations, and workplace concerns, providing guidance on company policies, employment laws, compliance, performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
    • Assist Director and SVP of HR in implementing strategies to proactively address workplace concerns, fostering a fair and consistent approach to employee relations across the organization
  • Performance Management:
    • Support managers in implementing performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and coaching
    • Handle employee relations matters associated with assigned practice groups
    • Provide guidance on employee development plans and career progression opportunities
    • Analyze performance metrics and recommend strategies for improvement
  • Compensation & Benefits Administration:
    • Assist employees with questions regarding compensation, benefits, and payroll-related concerns
    • Advise team members on managing the leave of absence processes
    • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure accurate benefits enrollment and administration
    • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with compensation policies and regulatory requirements
  • Culture & Engagement:
    • Promote and enhance a positive workplace culture that aligns with MAX's mission and values
    • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to foster collaboration and retention
    • Act as a resource for employees and leaders in building strong, trusting workplace relationships
    • Perform any and all other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, talent management, and compliance
  • Experience in healthcare or multi-site organizations is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse teams
  • Solid knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
