About the Company
RemX is assisting our client, a well respected mid size law firm, with their search for a Trust and Estates Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support their practice. You don't have to have T&E experience to be considered for this position!!
About the Role
As a Trust & Estates Paralegal you will play a crucial role in supporting a team of attorneys in managing and administering trusts and estates for their valued clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning forms.
- Track status of all estates so that deadlines are not missed.
- Assist attorneys in estate planning meetings with clients and take detailed notes.
- Maintain and organize client files and documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- New Jersey inheritance tax returns.
- Conduct legal research on trust and estate-related matters.
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and government agencies as needed.
- Assist in asset management and distribution processes.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Stay current on changes in trust and estate laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
- Certified Paralegal designation is a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Trust & Estates Paralegal in a law firm setting.
- Proficiency in legal research and document drafting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
- Ethical, discreet, and able to handle sensitive client information.

Pay range and compensation package
Salary range based on experience: $70,000-$80,000, plus bonus.
