Base pay range$55,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an IP/Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant/Paralegal. The ideal Candidate will have at least 5 years of recent experience and be knowledgeable in Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation including but not limited to (Trademark/IP laws, business disputes, purchases and sales of business).The candidate will be responsible for legal research, legal writing and primarily supporting attorneys. This candidate will also collect and organize documents and information from various sources at the firm.
This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the projects they are working on organized.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests
- Manage case calendars and deadlines
- Schedule and coordinate depositions and court filings
- E-file documents in state and federal courts
- Assist with trademark filings and related tasks (a plus)
- Communicate with clients, courts, and outside counsel
- Provide general administrative and team support as needed
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with state and federal court procedures (NJ/NY a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Tech-savvy; proficient in MS Office and Zoom
- Able to manage deadlines and work under pressure
- Flexible and available for overtime as needed
Compensation
This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $55,000 to $75,000.00 annually.
