REGISTERED NURSE - 5GE- ADULT MED SURG OVERFLOW - P/T WITH BENEFITS - NIGHTS

Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, New Jersey

Shift: Night

Work Hours:

Part‑time (20+ hours per week)
Compensation:
Minimum $47.39 per hour

• Deliver evidence‑based nursing care to adult medical‑surgical patients, ensuring safety and excellence.
• Communicate patient status, care plans, and treatment outcomes with the interprofessional team.
• Administer medications using bar‑scanning technology, maintaining accuracy and safety.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically at point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
• Facilitate multidisciplinary patient discharge, ensuring safe transition and continuity of care.

• Registered Nurse license in New Jersey, current and valid by hire date.
• BSN in progress or willing to complete within three (3) years of hire.
• Associate in Nursing or diploma in Nursing, minimum requirement.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• Six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
• Strong sense of accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and commitment to high‑quality patient care.
• Preferred:
  National certification in related specialty.

• Minimum $47.39 per hour, hourly rate
