Our Clinical Research Nurse supports all assigned clinical trials, ensuring compliance, safety, and high-quality patient care in the oncology phase‑1 setting.

- Assist the principal investigator in trial preparation, review protocols, and coordinate with departments.
- Ensure all protocol revisions, informed consents, and adverse events are submitted to the IRB on time.
- Act as liaison between principal investigators and sub‑investigators on regulatory matters.
- Collaborate on study feasibility and evaluate potential competition with other protocols.
- Review and finalize study budgets with the budget coordinator.
- Recruit and evaluate potential study patients, scheduling appointments and interviews.
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, and staff about care plans, trial options, and side effects.
- Conduct patient assessments, document progress, and monitor for toxicity.
- Maintain accurate records in EMR, clinical trial systems, and protocol databases.
- Develop education materials and drug administration instructions for patients and caregivers.
- Notify investigators of adverse events and report serious adverse events to sponsors and IRB.
- Coordinate laboratory, radiology, and other study-related testing.
- Handle EKGs, specimen processing, and result communication to investigators.
- Process safety reports per institutional policies.
- Represent the investigator in communication with sponsors, IRB, and medical personnel.
- Ensure billing for study activities and reconcile drug study accounts with finance personnel.
- Assist in sponsor monitor site visits and resolve documentation issues.
- Develop case report forms and databases for physician‑initiated studies.
- Support publication efforts, data queries, and analytics.
- Provide education to all departments where studies occur.
- Attend research meetings and conferences as required.
- BSN required.
- Minimum 3 years clinical oncology nursing experience or 1 year oncology nursing plus 2 years clinical research experience.
- Adherence to American Nurses Association standards.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service focus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team, handling multiple deadline‑driven tasks.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Review and comply with all relevant HMH policies and federal regulations.
Starting at $ Annually. Base compensation may differ based on market data, experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budget considerations.
