Responsibilities- Provide nursing care according to evidence‑based research, nursing policies, and standards of care to ensure safe and individualized patient treatment.
- Communicate regularly with patients, families, nursing colleagues, and the health care team regarding status, care, and treatment plans.
- Administer medication using bar‑scanning and documentation technologies for the safest delivery.
- Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations in real time at the point of care.
- Educate patients and families to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License required.
- BSN in progress or willing to obtain within 3 years of hire.
- At least 6 months of relevant nursing experience, or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health’s Nurse Residency Program.
- Strong adaptability, accountability, teamwork, commitment to ongoing education, and a patient‑focused approach.
- BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
Starting at $47.39 per hour. Compensation is benchmarked against market data and adjusted for experience, education, certifications, geography, and internal equity. The posted rate is a good faith estimate of the minimum base pay and does not reflect the full value of the total rewards package.
