Join the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute as an Assistant Nurse Manager in our Cardiac Cath Lab. This full‑time, day‑shift position supports high‑quality patient care, staffing, and operational excellence in a dynamic cardiac environment.
OverviewThe Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse who serves as a key communicator, collaborator, and authentic leader. Working with the Nurse Manager, the ANM coordinates staffing, supports throughput, quality and safety outcomes, staff competency, hiring, clinical and staff corrective actions, unit efficiency, and quality care initiatives. The role actively participates in unit and hospital decision‑making, implements evidence‑based practice projects, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement within Hackensack Meridian Health

- Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of unit goals aligned with hospital objectives and Mission & Vision.
- Lead or participate in evidence‑based practice projects or research.
- Lead or participate in unit‑ or hospital‑based shared governance committees or councils.
- Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolution and positive outcomes.
- Complete employee corrective action plans and counseling as necessary.
- Adhere to HMH organizational and managerial competencies and standards of behavior.
- Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations for assigned staff members.
- Contribute to and/or monitor the unit orientation process of all roles.
- Model cultural competence, social justice, fairness, and leverage generational diversity to foster highly effective work groups.
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
- Associate in Nursing or Nursing Diploma with BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
- Minimum of three years recent nursing experience in the specialty or equivalent.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
- Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate accountability for patient outcomes.
- Exceptional teamwork focus, commitment to ongoing education, and passion for delivering highest quality care.
- National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program and appropriate to your specialty (within two years of hire).
- Supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
Starting at $ annually. The posted rate is a best estimate of the minimum base pay and does not reflect the full value of the market‑competitive total rewards package.
