Description:
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.
-Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs.
-Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
-Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.
-Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
-Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.
-Manages care of patients.
-Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
-Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
-Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule Notes:
-New Position-Hybrid Registered Nurse CPU Pre Op and PACU-Hackensack University Medical Center
30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack,NJ,07601-9:00a to 7:30p (10hrs. Shift)-40hrs per week-No weekend
-Holidays identified by the facility// no work-Holidays not recognized by the hospital: expected to work
-No on call-Expected to work in other preop/pacu in Perioperative service( hybrid) position, when needed-At least 2 yrs of nursing in critical care environment-BLS,ACLS, PALS, PACU Experience a must, Expertise in care of the patient on ventilator.
-NJ license-will be given access to the scrub machine; scrub blue.

Skills & Experience:
-2 strong (recent) years of critical care, pre-op and Recovery/PACU exp required.
-Strong background in Telemetry.
-Must be tele certified.
Preferred
Skills & Experience:
-3+ years PACU preferred. Expected to work in other preop/pacu in Perioperative service( hybrid) position, when needed-At least 2 yrs of nursing in critical care environment
Experience a must, Expertise in care of the patient on ventilator.
