Nursing Supervisor - St John, Neuro Suite

The Nursing Supervisor is a professional, registered nurse who provides operational and administrative support to nurse leadership while coordinating staffing and ensuring quality care. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are skilled communicators and leaders.

• Participate in recruitment and retention strategies.
• Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
• Participate in unit goal creation reflective of hospital goals.
• Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research.
• Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions.
• Complete employee corrective action plans/counseling as necessary.
• Prepare and conduct periodic performance evaluations for staff.
• Monitor unit orientation processes for all roles as necessary.
• Lead multidisciplinary rounds and ensure performance improvement monitoring.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for new employees and Charge RNs.

Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association
• National Certification acceptable to the Magnet Recognition Program
