Registered Nurse - Inpatient Pediatric Oncology - Per Diem

The Registered Nurse in Inpatient Pediatric Oncology provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired health outcomes through effective collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. • Pay: $48/hour
• Location: Hackensack, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Per Diem

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patients.
• Develop and coordinate patient-centered plans of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues and enhance patient satisfaction.
• Maintain competencies and certifications as required.

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire

• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program

• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible
