Store Driver

Job Description

Delivery Driver position responsible for picking, staging, and safely delivering automotive parts to professional customers, handling returns, promoting sales flyers, collecting credit accounts, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking inventory, and providing customer service and upselling opportunities.

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with Main Street and National Pro customers, providing insights to the CPP.
• Assist in upselling and cross‑selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk‑in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Safe driving and navigation ability.
• Ability to use delivery board system.
• Friendly and persuasive communication.
• Ability to locate and stock parts; safety knowledge and skills.
• Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment.
• Sales aptitude and customer service orientation.
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products.
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.

• Automotive parts experience preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Employee predominantly walks or stands; requires ability to talk and hear, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance. Vision required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

Work inside the store but occasionally outside and exposed to weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, toxic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. Noise level typically moderate.

Estimated $15.95 to $16.95 USD per hour for a new team member. Rate varies by location, experience, retail background, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and shift differential.
