Before and After School Program Childcare Group Teacher
Healthy Kids Programs is currently hiring Group Teachers for our Before and After School Program for the school year. We are looking for someone who loves working with children and is passionate about creating an environment where kids can thrive.

Pay
: $15.49 – $17.00 per hour
Hours
: 7:30 am – 8:30 am and 3:15 pm – 6:15 pm
- Guide compliance:
Ensure staff and program adhere to NJ guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules. - Bring the fun:
Direct engaging hands‑on activities based on the Healthy Kids Way Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and more. Also assist with homework completion. - Be a role model:
Create a safe, healthy, and entertaining environment where kids can thrive. - Manage like a boss:
Assist the Site Director with management tasks, including accurate attendance and registration records, ensuring proper staffing levels, and acting as the designated person in charge when the Site Director is absent. - Keep everyone in the loop:
Maintain open communication with parents and family members through the Playground App. - Team collaboration:
Communicate effectively with the Site Director, keeping them informed of daily occurrences and addressing issues promptly.
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree in Child Development, or Child Development Certificate.
- OR six college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development and nine college credits in Education, Psychology, Health Care, Nursing, or a related field.
- Medically fit, free of communicable diseases including TB.
- Warm, friendly, upbeat, with exceptional people skills; professional, reliable, and punctual.
- Able to bend, stretch, lift, carry up to 50 lbs, and keep up with energetic children.
