Sr. Digital Project Engineer – Mars
This role is part of the MW NA Regional Engineering Controls, Automation, & Digital Team. Responsibilities include designing and managing digital and data projects across Mars Wrigley North American Region, leading implementation scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, issues, risk, and stakeholder communication. The role focuses on Digital Plant Technology systems, including electrical, controls, digital, CVS, and value tracking, and supports the Smart Factory Program.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or Digital Technology related fields
- 3+ years’ experience in a comparable technical position – food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry
- 2+ years’ experience with Digital Technologies
- Track record of using data and metrics to design strategies, identify and implement improvements
- Understanding of process and packaging applications and digital technologies
- Excellent communication, listening, influencing, critical and innovative thinking skills
- Able to work collaboratively with other groups
- Approximately 50% travel, depending on project demands
- Advanced degree is a plus
- Implement Digital and Data projects across Mars Wrigley North American Region
- Provide engineering solutions that drive accelerated improvement in TRS, PCC Costs, Safety, Quality, and Customer Service Levels
- Utilize resources across local (Site), region, and global to accelerate the North American Digital and Data Roadmaps.
- Support the Smart Factory Program, design end‑to‑end architecture, create site engagement, perform assessments, physical OT integration, OT‑IT integration, and activate use cases.
- Perform control systems project engineering when required to support digital and data initiatives.
- Lead change management, training, and reinforcement activities.
- Support deployed applications to realize value.
- Advance digital maturity across the region by developing relevant technical skills and fostering a user‑centric digital culture.
- Ensure delivery of objectives for scope, time, budget, cash flow, and value creation, maintaining project adherence to scope and deliverables.
- Communicate with the digital project steering team and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Apply lean principles and seek technology that provides competitive advantage.
- Act as connector between business teams, DT teams, regional and global engineering, MES teams, and site teams.
- Continuously improve technical knowledge, problem‑solving analysis, and training coordination.
- Support safety and security policies, protect intellectual property, and oversee successful deployment and adoption.

The base pay range for this position is USD – USD . Total compensation will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, 401(k) participation, and paid time off.
