Patient Care Technician, Part Time Days 7a-7p, Emergency Department, Hackettstown Medical Center

Atlantic Health is looking for a dedicated Patient Care Technician to work part-time from 7a-7p in our Hackettstown Emergency Department. The position offers a competitive hourly wage and an excellent benefits package.

$18.50/hr – $27.58/hr

Responsible for assisting doctors and nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks may include feeding and cleaning the patient or monitoring vital signs and health.

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities
• Performs post‑mortem care
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• EMT certification or nursing assistant certification

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Patient, compassionate nature
• Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses
• Proficiency in computer‑based data management programs and information systems
