Mains Replacement Agent
Location:
Lea Bridge Road, Hackney
Type:
Permanent, Full-Time, 45hrs per week
Salary: £50-55k depending on candidate experience
Project Partners are now recruiting for a Mains Replacement Agent based in Lea Bridge Road, Hackney. The purpose of this role is to ensure successful delivery on site of a range mains renewals scheme. The role covers the schemes in London.
Job Role:
* Oversee daily site operations to ensure timely delivery of water main replacement works, coordinating closely with site teams and subcontractors.
* Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to site teams, preventing delays and maintaining workflow efficiency
* Uphold and enforce all HSE standards on-site, conducting regular inspections and promoting a culture of safety.
* Liaise with clients, local authorities, and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.
* Lead and motivate site personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment aligned with company values.
* Track project milestones, maintain accurate site records, and report progress to senior management, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.
* Ensure all works meet required specifications and standards, conducting inspections and managing quality control documentation.
* Respond swiftly to site challenges, including logistical issues or unforeseen delays, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
* Monitor site expenditures, manage resources efficiently, and support the commercial team in maintaining budgetary control
* Contribute to process improvements and innovation, helping Browne set new benchmarks in water infrastructure delivery.
Experience and
Skills required:
* Proven ability to manage the timely delivery of materials and equipment to field teams, avoiding delays and ensuring smooth project progression.
* Able to utilise basic I.T programmes (excel, word and outlook) to support completion of key tasks to include and not limited to safety inspections, observations, the management of key programme activities (client notifications for isolations of network, sampling, issuing customer communications), request for back up driver etc.
* Experience managing infrastructure projects, ideally in water mains or utilities, with a strong understanding of site operations, health & safety, and quality standards.
* Experience leading site teams and subcontractors, while effectively liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to maintain project momentum.
Qualifications and Certs required:
* Full UK driving license.
* EUSR Water Hygiene card
* NRSWA – Unit 10 (or equivalent), back filling and reinstating.
* Cable Avoidance/Safe Digging
* First Aid
* Temporary Works Supervisor (desirable)
* Slinger/Signaller (desirable)
* NPORS Traffic Marshall or Banksmen (desirable)
