About the Role:

Vocational Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Hackney to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Level 3 Early Years Educator for a nursery class role starting in September 2026.

This full-time position involves working within a nursery class, supporting children’s early development through play-based learning and structured Early Years provision. The successful candidate will join a supportive Early Years team and contribute to creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.

The role requires a confident practitioner with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), including experience supporting observations, assessments, and learning journeys.

Key Responsibilities for the Early Years Educator role:

* Support teaching and learning within the nursery class

* Deliver high-quality play-based learning experiences

* Carry out observations, assessments, and learning journals

* Support children’s communication, language, and social development

* Promote personal, social, and emotional development

* Support both indoor and outdoor learning activities

* Work closely with teachers, EYFS staff, and parents

* Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment

* Contribute to planning and continuous provision

Requirements for the Early Years Educator role:

* Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification (essential)

* Previous experience working within a nursery or EYFS setting

* Strong understanding of the EYFS Framework

* Experience completing observations and assessments

* Passion for early childhood development

* Patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach

* Strong communication and teamwork skills

* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
