- What the Role Involves Providing dedicated 1:1 and small-group support to sixth form students with a range of SEN needs throughout the college day Implementing strategies outlined in students' Education, Health and Care Plans under SENDCO guidance Supporting students to access A-Level and vocational curriculum content confidently and independently Maintaining accurate records of student progress and wellbeing, feeding back to tutors and the SENDCO regularly Building consistent, respectful, and trusted relationships with students and their families throughout the academic year SEN Teaching Assistant
- What the School is Looking For The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university. Previous experience supporting young people with SEN in a UK school, college, or educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a patient, empathetic, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting post-16 learners with additional needs to achieve their goals.
