Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Hackney from September 2026.
The Role- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Hackney, East London
- School: Secondary School
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract: Full-time, long-term
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
- Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Work with students individually and in small groups to improve attainment and confidence.
- Provide classroom support across a range of subject areas.
- Support students with SEND, SEMH, or those requiring additional learning support.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and the SEN department to ensure students receive the support they need.
- Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.
- A passion for supporting young people in their education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
