DT Technician | Hackney | Immediate Start Are you a qualified DT Technician with strong experience working with tools, machinery and practical workshop equipment? A highly regarded secondary school in Hackney is seeking a skilled and reliable DT Technician to join their Design & Technology department on a full-time, term-time-only contract, starting as soon as possible. The school has recently received an impressive set of findings from Ofsted, with Strong standards awarded across curriculum and teaching, achievement, attendance and behaviour, inclusion, personal development and wellbeing, and leadership and governance .

About the role:
As a DT Technician, you will support the smooth running of the Design & Technology department by preparing materials and equipment, maintaining workshop areas and assisting teachers during practical lessons. You will ensure that tools, machinery and specialist equipment are maintained and used safely, while supporting the department with health and safety procedures and relevant checks. You will also help ensure pupils have access to the resources they need to develop their practical skills and succeed within DT.
What you'll need to succeed: A recognised DT Technician or relevant technical qualification is essential Previous experience working with tools, machinery and workshop equipment A recognised health and safety qualification/training relating to tools and machinery Strong knowledge of practical workshop procedures and equipment Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail A proactive, reliable and practical approach The ability to work effectively alongside teaching staff and support pupils Ribbons & Reeves are London's leading Education Recruiters, specialising in long-term and permanent education roles.
