Renovated and rebuilt in 2010, our state‑of‑the‑art Emergency Department was designed with the needs of patients and their family members in mind. It features 56 private rooms with doors, access to laboratory and radiology services within the department, and a separate Acute Behavioral Unit for patient comfort and security. The hospital is equipped with the latest technology, including EPIC EMR, and is designated as a Primary Stroke Center, signifying high‑quality care for stroke treatment.

Under the supervision of the Director of the Emergency Department, the Nurse Manager has 24‑hour responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in a designated unit. The Nurse Manager has authority to make decisions on that unit in the areas of patient care, human resource, and financial management in collaboration with the Director.

• Must have current RN License in the State of Connecticut
• BSN required,
  MSN preferred
• Minimum five years recent, progressive acute care nursing experience required. Emergency Department experience preferred
• Previous Nursing Leadership experience required
