The Successful CandidateWe are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and forward-thinking Teacher of Modern Studies to join our dedicated staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated practitioner who is passionate about learning, teaching and improving outcomes for young people.
Responsibilities- Teach relevant subject through S1-S6.
- Deliver high-quality learning, teaching and assessment using inclusive and progressive pedagogical approaches.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues to meet the needs of all learners.
- Provide accurate assessment, recording and reporting on pupil work.
- Prepare pupils for examinations and assist with administration.
- Provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues related to their education.
- Promote and safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils.
- Undertake appropriate continuing professional development and contribute to school planning and improvement.
- Participate in school activities and support services in partnership with parents and professionals.

Qualifications:
Registered with GTCS as a teacher of the relevant subject. Permanent posts require GTCS Full registration (General). Temporary posts require GTCS Full registration (General) or Provisional registration. - PVG Membership:
This post is a Regulated Role with vulnerable groups. All preferred candidates will need to become a PVG Scheme member or update if already a member before a formal offer of employment. - Overseas criminal record checks:

Pay arrangements:
Teachers commencing after the first day of the school session will have their salary recalculated for the remainder of the school year, with leave and pay adjustments as applicable. Further information will be provided if this applies.
