Salary: Starting at £13.61 per hour, rising to £13.83 after probation. Opportunity to progress to £14.31 at your own pace (inclusive of rural allowance).

About the RoleJoin Scottish Autism's Edinburgh & The Lothian’s Haddington team supporting two individuals to maintain their tenancies and access community opportunities. Our person‑centred approach focuses on promoting independence, providing personal and household support and care, building confidence, and supporting positive mental health and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities- Develop personalised support plans for the supported individual.
- Build positive relationships with the supported individual.
- Work in partnership with the supported individual, their family, and health professionals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the supported individual’s life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support.
- Take part in activities and support the individual in accessing and engaging in local community opportunities.
- Provide personal care, promote independence and active citizenship, support with household chores, and other required support.
- Be available out and about to support the individual in accessing their local community and participate in activities of their choice.
Shift work including weekends, evenings and on‑call availability. Flexibility towards working hours is key.

Required Checks and RegistrationThese posts are subject to a PVG Disclosure check. All new employees must apply to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of starting in post, and be registered within 6 months. Scottish Autism covers all costs of PVG membership and SSSC registration for employees.
